This is a bill that has the support of both the "little guy" and the "big guy" - that's because it's reasonable for both. Please sign this compromise legislation.

SB 16-197 is a fair compromise that reasonably transitions the ability of chain stores to sell liquor.

We ask that you recognize the small business owner by signing this bill. We cannot emphasize enough the issue big vs small plus a real loss of service and product that will be lost as we have seen in other states. Selection , expertise and response to customer needs is deficient and almost non existent. Help keep Colorado an exception to this mindset. Thank You

This is one of the only political issues I have been paying close attention to. I have chosen to make a career of it because working for the little guy is an option. I would be terrified if further ballot measures went through and prevented my career aspirations. i think this bill is a GREAT comprimise

As the general manager of one of the state's largest liquor stores, I sincerely hope you sign this bill. I believe this to be as fair a compromise for the current industry as we could hope for. I greatly appreciate your very sincere interest in maintaining the status quo. If I could have it my way, I would do the same. But, with the other potential and very real ballot initiatives pending, this bill provides many significant layers of protection, and incremental change that current retailers can respond to. As the general manager in one of the largest individual stakeholders in the current industry, and as someone who voted for you personally, I truly do hope you sign this bill as soon as possible.

As part owner of a store in Boulder, I would strongly recommend the passage of SB 16-197.

My job of 21 years, depends on it. I have already been crushed by the highest health insurance in the country, being a 41 year resident of a mountain town. I would at least hope the government could help me retain my way to pay for it.

Gov. Hickenlooper, I am voicing my support for SB16-197 being signed into law. This bill will be the bet way to protect small, family owned liquor stores that will otherwise be devastated by uncontrolled increase in licenses issued to grocery store chains. Thank you.
