Stand Up For Small Businesses - Sign SB197

Please sign this bill. Wish it were not needed but this bill preserves the best part of our liquor laws. I have read some of the comments of fellow store owners. All I can say is that every industry has a few. Do not listen to that minority. A signature on this bill helps preserve the investment of small businesses. It also preserves the best aspects of a system that has helped small brewers etc. Flourish. Please sign this bill.

My parents are small liquir store owners and have been for my entire life. The liquor store does well and is thier main source of income, we need to keep liquor out of the big stores it would crush our store.

I encourage the governor to sign the petition protecting liquor stores.

Please sign this bill to keep the big corporations from buying their way into Colorado and destroying small businesses and jobs. Help me keep my liquor store in Durango in the same place for another 50 years!

Liquor store owners have had to comply with blue laws, a costly and unfair system. Understandably the large retail stores do not want to be burdened with such a system, but it is inequitable for them to sidetrack all of the rules imposed on small owners who have invested life savings in compliance with Colorado laws. This statute levels the playing field and recognizes that the state should not permit small business owners to be destroyed because they complied with law and structured their business financing and leases in reliance on these laws.

please sign SB197. I own a liquor store in Pueblo and it cost me $1,000,000 to buy it. If the big box stores get their way, I might be forced out since I have Albertson's, Safeway and King Soopers within a quarter mile away.

Keep Colorado money in Colorado
