Small business needs a level playing field. The compromise bill is a good start. Stop the monopolies. They only drive down selection and service.

Dear Governor Hickenlooper,
I know you already understand that the ballot measure proposed by the out-of-state grocery chains would add near-zero jobs within their establishments while destroying between 15,000 and 20,000 Colorado jobs. The measure would put local small businesses OUT of business. Nearly as important, without local liquor stores, we'll also severely diminish our local craft beer culture. Like you, I'm a Craft Beer guy. We stock as many crafts as we have room for. The grocery oligopoly will concern itself only with economies of scale, meaning a focus on profitability alone. So, small brewers will have few, if any retail outlets available to them, meaning even more Colorado job losses. Please help us keep our Colorado jobs, keep our profits in our local economy and keep our Colorado history and brewing heritage alive. Many thanks for your consideration.
