Alcohol and operating a vehicle on Land or water should never mix. No matter who you are if you cause a crash and some dies there must be consequences. Megan's life was taken from her and her loved ones by the selfish decision of another. Laws need to be changed and enforced. No more victims.

This is simple. 1)He was drunk. T the law should have tested him for alcohol. 2) He KILLED someone! I don't care who he is, no one is above the law!

I believe that IDNR should be changed on how they deal with life on water, such a loss, children with no mom , I hope it eats at his conscious for the rest of his life .

Because he refused a breath test. So now after the fact they cant proove he was drunk past the legal limit. However there are lots of witnesses stating he had been drinking all day.
