I, Suhaylah Hamzah, President of Xi Chapter at Bowling Green State University would like to propose that we as Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority Incorporated make a public announcement of solidarity with those effected by the non-indictments of police officers across the nation who forcibly took the lives of countless people of color.
I feel as though we, the Women for the Advancement of a Multicultural Society need to make this statement to show our support and uphold one of the most important pillars for which we stand, Increasing Multicultural Awareness.
Our founding mothers felt that in 1994, we needed this society to end the racist disease spreading across the world and that by doing so we would have to take a risk, see the need to make a change in this world, by believing in the power to make a difference. And now going in to almost 21 years later, we stand strong as a sorority and pledged to take these same values with us for the rest of our lives. If not ever, now is the time we must remember the words in which we pledged, that we our loyalty is promised and our friendship is given. And that we will give our hand to those in need, as hands were given out to us.

The family and friends of the victims across the nation are hurting, tremendously. And everyday those who are fighting for them are going through trials we do not face as long as we try to ignore them. These people, need our hand. They need to know that we as sisters of multicultural society that are advocates for women's rights, multicultural rights, and all together, civil rights, will increase the awareness on this issue and do so as nationalized sorority.

If you feel this is important to do so, please sign your name for or do so for the sake of your chapter.

Thank You,
Suhaylah "Ualida" Hamzah, #50
