Dear Members of Delta Beta Omega Chapter
In her September 12th letter, Madam Supreme, Dorothy Buchanan Wilson stated that; “Since our founding in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has prohibited hazing. Today, the sorority continues to take a zero tolerance stance against hazing. National Hazing Prevention Week was designated the third week of September in collaboration with HazingPrevention.Org. We must make hazing prevention a year-round priority, and it must begin with each of us to protect our precious pearls.”
The International Risk Management Task Force has asked that graduate and undergraduate chapters raise hazing prevention awareness in their communities and on their college campuses. Delta Beta Omega Chapter is committed to engage in a series of internal training and educational opportunities to raise awareness of hazing prevention. In addition to our training I am asking each of you to stand with me by signing your name to this letter, so that our Greater Phoenix and International Community will know that our organization stands as a team of dedicated members devoted to the prevention and elimination of hazing and violence. As we continue to provide “Service to All Mankind, Let us Remember: These Pearls Don’t Haze”.
I am looking forward to continuing to learn and share with each of you as we encourage excellence in leadership and service.

Proud to be a member and fully support this. Hazing has no place in our sisterhood period.
As a 1955 initiate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, I fully support our International President. Hazing and violence in any form has no place in our organization.
Our motto beyond this is "If you see something, say something". We must work to stamp out Hazing!!
We proudly stand with our International President against all forms of hazing and violence, both within our organization and in the greater society.
I became a member of Alpha kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in 1967 and I continue to stand strong against hazing in any form that can cause another person harm.

Our goal must continue to prevent hazing at all levels through strong education efforts, diligent policy development and reinforcement, and comprehensive planning and ongoing community efforts can do just that.
