The superintendent does not deserve to have a building named in her honor. Who from the other two is next? Natividad? JC?

The school board seems to be overlooking the ongoing issues; therefore, an investigation into the allegations against the superintendent is necessary.

Magda Hernandez has created a culture of toxicity and favoritism. Her narcissist personality lead her to bully administrators who will outshine her. Is an administrator doesn't glorify her then she will start her plan to get you out. Her measurement of success is based on your Twitter posts (which often portray a surface picture of what really goesn on in the district). "I love you" is not enough anymore when the data shows we are sinking. We need a new board, a new cabinet and a new Superintendent. Every day Magda stays in her seat she is neglecting our children. Wake up parents!

I retired a couple of years ago, a year before I was planning because of the work environment at admin bldg. Totally biased hiring practices. People being promoted because of relationship with superintendent. Extremely poor planning and wasteful spending.

Lived here my whole life and the quality and service is not what it used to be. We did a whole lot more with less and today it just seems like a business, not a family.

The school board and Magda are acting based on their personal interests. The idea of building a wellness center that nobody requested is highly uncalled for . I believe that if a survey were conducted to determine public interest in this wellness center, it would not show much support. Which they did not even ask district employees on a vote for this center would be something as a whole would be interested in. Teachers would likely prefer salary increases, similar to those that Magda has consistently given her sister, niece, and daughter-in-law, rather than funding a new building that may primarily benefit Magda's family or the school board members. Given the demanding schedules that teachers face, they would hardly have time to utilize such a facility. It's completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Instead, these funds should be directed toward truly beneficial projects, such as facilities for our special education students or resources for families in the city of Irving. Since this is city money, it should be spent on something important and meaningful, not just on the superintendent to naming a building after her name.

As long as the current school board is in place, no significant changes will occur because they continue to protect Magda Hernandez, the superintendent. The discrimination and toxicity originating from her leadership are unacceptable. For any real progress to be made, President Randy, and the school board who supports her, must be replaced. Accountability for Magda Hernandez is essential for positive change within our district.

Racial bias, unfair hiring practices, letting toxic work environments exist within the district and at campuses and offering no help or remedy. Central office administration is never seen on campuses unless there is a problem that could reflect on them or for press/photo opportunities

It is ridiculous the pay she makes & living cost when a resident & closing two strong effective elementary schools when other schools classes are over flowing with 32 students

She’s only there for a paycheck, and to give her family and friends jobs she doesn’t care for teachers, children or working staff of iisd! She needs to go!

Terrible leadership! Too many unhappy teachers. Who names a building after themselves? Employees deserve better.

Blatant ignorance, favoritism, cultivating an environment that is mentally unhealthy. Turns a blind eye to issues going on in her district and can’t be bothered to reply to affected employees or care about their well being after falling victim to the toxic environment she has allowed to cultivate.

Mrs.Hernandez the superintendent and the school board have to go …they don’t want what’s good for our kids they only care about them and their own if it benefits them. They just take pictures with our kids too post online like we are a big happy fsmily.. it’s disgusting. I have taken my kids to the awards shook hands with these people many times. Just to come find out it’s all a show for them, my kid will not be going to Irving isd next year that’s for sure!

Unfortunately nothing will happen as long as Randy Randle is on the school board. He protects Magda. I wonder what contracts his family and company got from the bond.

As someone who's both a para professional and studying to become a teacher, it's super frustrating to see how our district handles pay. Despite all the hard work and the low wages we get, it seems like there's barely any room for raises for us. Meanwhile, it feels like every time I turn around, the superintendent's family members at the central office are getting huge raises, and some of them don’t even have degrees! It’s just so disheartening to see this kind of favoritism and unfair treatment when we’re out here doing our best for our students. It really makes you wonder about where the district's priorities lie.
