Pleasant Hill was made a wet town for the first time.The Village of Pleasant Hill opted to ignore state law: Public Act 093-0687: "No license shall be issued for the sale at retail of any alcoholic liquor within 100 feet of any church, school… that this prohibition shall not apply to hotels offering restaurant service….Stagecoach is 180 ft. from the band building and 379 ft. from the school proper. It is exempt from state law, both from distance and the fact the it is an eatery whose main revenue is food and lodging. The town board voted to change the law to 300 ft in order to deny the Stagecoach, the only business affected, a liquor license. Please sign the petition to support the Stagecoach getting their liquor license. They are a hunting lodge and restaurant, not a bar.

It's a shame to keep this business from revenue sources they need to keep their doors open. It is and will always be a family oriented place to eat and stay. I'm all for it.
I'm from Pleasant Hill Illinois, I live in Maywood Mo now but I have ate at The Stagecoach Inn while visiting my family and plan on eating there again , I support them having alcohol for their customers. They help the community in many ways and deserve to be treated with respect.
I completely support this! I enjoy going down Stagecoach to eat, visit with other customers and listen to David sing. Having a drink while doing that would be nice.
I would hope that the Stagecoach Inn would be included in the area business community that received a liquor license and was disappointed to learn that the town board had veered away from the State law to form this decision.
I support the Stagecoach Inn. Laws should not be changed to discriminate a certain business.
It’s not fair everybody else can sell but not them ..
I hope this turns around in your favor . Shame on the Pleasant Hill Board .

Shouldn't have to circulate a petition for this when the restaurant is already within the perimeter of what the original code called for. Makes a person wonder exactly who DOESN'T want the Stagecoach to get the license....
