First, I find it offensive as a former student who worked for parking and had to deal with probably 1/2 of this list of people, consistently lying, arguing and in some cases threatening physical abuse to myself and other student workers in the booths at Thornton, if we tried to charge you for parking in the Patient Parking areas. Personally I am glad they changed the system, so everyone now pays their fair share. Paying for parking is a reality and is mandated by UCOP. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, LEAVE. For those of you complaining about 30 minutes to find a space, you are either lazy or ill-informed. I pull into Athena at 10:30 daily and find a B space immediately and do the whopping 5 minute walk to Thornton. Even though I "have to sign" this petition to get reality out there, I totally think this is a ridiculous focus.

Come in to work 30-40 min early in order to get a parking spot is rediculous. We don't have to lose sleep to wake up early in order to have a parking space. Our job is already stressful but adding more stress to have a parking spot every time I work is not healthy.

'A' parking have a lot of vacant spaces everywhere not only in Athena. Pls. provide more "B" spaces. I have to come in 2 hours early today so that I can be guaranteed a parking space. So ridiculous! Hoping for your kindest attention and consideration on this matter. Thank you!

Parking is absolutely ridiculous! I get here 45mins early to have to fight for a parking spot and sometimes not even get one.

Completely agree 100%! We are the ones providing patient care therefore we should be able to park in ALL of the empty A spaces or make them B spaces! Again we are the care providers here.

On any given week day there are over 200 parking spaces now designated for A parking in parking structure Athena and lot below soccer fields. Why? Now with Jacobs open, employees urgently need more parking.

We are paying for the parking then we should be able to get a better, closer and safer parking lot especially employee that working late shift.
