Staff Should Have Car Permits - ARI

Staff should have priority parking. No staff no one to look after wards clinics theatres so no need visitors

My base is at the hospital, where I go every day, however my work/visits can be up to 12 miles away.

I don't live on a bus route and have to take 2 kids to nursery before a 12 hour shift. Not possible without a car, I love my job, worked in same ward for 13 years but will have no choice but to resign if appeal unsuccessful.

I work 12 hour shifts, often extended past 2000hrs. The bus service I would use is once an hour. Missing that means over an hours walk home extending my shift to over 13 hours plus.

As a nurse working in ARI I think it's outrageous that staff cannot park on site. Staffing is bad enough and this will just make more staff leave. Ridiculous!!

It's an utter disgrace I've never heard of another place to work that dictates wether or not you can drive to work or not!! It's a long enough day working 12 hours then having to wait for buses after your shift !!

I live in westhill and would have to get 2 buses. 12 hour shifts and that would make it a very long day.

I feel strongly about this, nurses in particular have long shifts and are under paid they show have to pay for parking when they already do so much

Don't give management or office hours staff parking permits - get somewhere out of town and bus them in and out give the spaces to shift workers !

Frontline staff need to get to and from work. Can patients wait for their team to arrive during a heart attack, stroke or any condition that needs immediate attention. Get a grip NHS Grampian you will have blood on your hands.

Consultants can't do urgent on call surgery or meet times in the morning if they any park there are only so many emergency spaces for such matters

Health workers from all over the North East need to be able to park at their place of work.. With the majority of them on their feet all day attending to our health needs, the last thing they want to be doing is trying to fight through the inept and laborious public transport, the majority without a direct service. There is a huge piece of waste ground within the grounds of ARI that could and should be used to ensure our health work force can get to and from their place of work without any added stress and worry. NHS Grampian, screw the nut and make sure you do not make a mockery of your dedicated work force.

Outraged at not being awarded a parking permit. I have to drop my child off at daycare before work I don't have time to use public transport and I shouldn't have to

NHS staff due a fantastic job despite long hours and often being underpaid ! they should be allowed to park at the hospital

I'm a midwife who stays in Dundee and have to start in Aberdeen at 7am and I didn't get a parking permit. If I wasn't able to get one who exactly did. If you can give me suggestions in how I'm suppose to get to work for a 7am start when there is no buses or trains in at that time.

2 buses each way or a 1 hour walk for me often at 9pm. Clearly quite acceptable to NHSG management!!!!

Staff already go 'above & beyond' - no breaks, in early, not out in time etc etc etc The shifts are long enough but to expect them to try & get expensive inconvenient public transport to add goodness knows how many hours on to their already long day is outrageous!! Or have to pay £4.50 a day to park on the street & goodness only knows if there will be any pay & display parking spaces available anyway!!!! Grrrrrr ludicrous

It's ridiculous that staff who work there full or even part time are expected in some cases to add 2.5hrs onto their working day. It shouldn't be up to an employer to dictate how a staff member gets to and from work. Disgusting
