Parking should be provided so that staff have access either directly to the site or via a provided shuttle not far from hospital.

So ridiculous that essential staff are being refused permits, all staff give there all as it is without having to be away from family even longer due to having to leave arrive home later due to taking public transport. Many will be thinking of leaving ARI & seeking employment elsewhere & this is something that ARI can ill afford but what's ARIs loss is somebody else's gain

Aberdeen is one of the most expensive places in Scotland to live. As a result a large volume of staff that work at ARI live in commuter suburbs and further afield where the cost of living is lower. This combined with the poor level of public transport to accommodate 12 hour shifts the hospital has little choice but to make suitable parking arrangements for staff! Simple!

It is absolutely ludicrous that staff starting work in the early morning and finishing in the evening cannot be allotted a parking space eg. my partner would have to get up at 4am and travel into Ellon to get a bus at approx 5.15am to be able to reach work at a suitable time. At the end of 12 1/2 hour shift she would not get home until approx 9pm and allowing for meals etc would have 6 hours before it all starts again; if she was lucky! Insane. How on earth can we expect a professional quality from our healthcare workers.

Dedicated staff at NHS do their best for no additional perks, working beyond their day to make sure patients come first. Perhaps NHS could do more to retain their employees as this could be a sad exit for many due to their bad decisions!!!

Nhsgrampian RARELY supports its staff. Many staff have children and other dependents,
public transport is not reliable and adds hours to the working day

Staff should have priority to park. They shouldnt have to get buses to work and have hours to travel to and from work after and before 12 hour shifts. These people work very hard and NHS Grampian ard going to loose more staff if this dosnt change

If its not staff signing the petitions then it will be the surrounding streets who will be complaining to the council as we will all be parking on their road blocking residents parking. Very unsafe to walk up to areas that are available after long shifts in the dark nights.

Please reinstate staff parking asap. As I know first hand, the stresses on those working on the front line of caring for the sick and dying are immense, and increases daily with increasing paperwork and liaising duties as the service is stretched even further from the safety guidelines than ever. To be ensured of a parking place is surely a basic right in such an organisation? Visitors, apart from those who have critical or seriously ill loved ones in hospital should surely take second place to staff looking after their loved ones be it on the shop floor or behind the scenes. No retired I had 32yrs as a staff nurse which I truly loved NS refused any promotion which might remove me from my love of caring first hand for those in my care. I am sad that the happy years I had in the health service is not being enjoyed by the staff of today. Please at least give them one less issue to stress over and do the decent thing. they are definitely worth it

I believe that it's vital to keep staff moral high in such a place of work. It's imperative that staff are happy and although they try their very hardest to be upbeat and give the very highest standards of care to patients it's little things like this that drag them down and make them feel very unappreciated. If it wasn't for the gratitude of the patients on the ward in a day to day basis lots of nurses would be very demoralised and this doesn't help!!!!
