Staff Should Have Car Permits - ARI

As a theatre nurse our hours of work can be varied and long only time I sit down is for my lunch break which should be 30 minutes not necessary at lunchtime could be 4 in the afternoon all depends on the work load therefore the last thing I need is a stressful two bus journey home no direct buses and I'm fortunate enough to stay in Aberdeen pity those who stay out with . Before and after work we all have commitments which will be made very stressful if not impossible to maintain

Staff are under pressure to start work on time. Finding a parking space out with the hospital grounds or depending on public transport makes them stressed even before they start a shift where they are under pressure from the minute they get their uniform on.

I live in kemnay and I need 2 buses to get to work yet I was refused a permit!

Staff need somewhere to park too, especially after the long hours they have to work, they deserve it!

All staff should have a parking permit.

I think it's ridiculous the amount of spaces staff are loosing and just not feasible

Of course they should. Trained nurse have enough to pay already with registration fees and auxiliary don't get enough for the job they do. Underplayed on all sectors

All Staff should have permits and parked nearer the hospital so they can get to their stations quickly not have a long walk to the hospital. Should've parking spaces near hospital just for staff

It's current situation the parking at ARI is disgraceful, and it is reflected also at other branches especially Peterhead Helath centre. Never mind just permits, the staff should have their section of parking, when will they realise that a small multi-storey like the airport constructed could be a possible solution. The times I've seen people stressed about a loved one and then having to panic about parking, I worlnabroad in a a developing country and there parking facilities are light years in front of the Scottish NHS. They also seem to be able control the parking system, as we visit this annually for visa medical checks. Forget about Upgrading the city centre and look at making the ARI a place to be proud of and look after the staff.

2 buses to get to work to then do a. 12-23hr shift then have to get 2 buses home! This will stop people becoming ARI staff

Caring - Listening - Improving let's hope they care enough and listen to improve this situation. We're surviving on goodwill as it is, and this may be the final straw for some

Full Time Staff Nurse ARI

I have 2 family members who are nurses at ARI. My mum is at retirement age buts helps out in her ward on an ad hoc basis usually 1-2 shifts per week. She did not get a permit and would not be able to get to work as no bus would get her there on time, she will now be leaving. The other family member works 12 hour shifts but rarely gets away on time, the bus service is unreliable and at shifts end if she were to miss a bus it would be a long wait for another adding to what is already a long stressful day. Get a grip ARI and look after your staff, especially the ones who are in front line patient care.

Disgraceful, Time for NHS Grampian to rethink, they are struggling to retain staff and the dedicated are being penalised. Dream on NHSG is this another example of the bad management that 2 MSPs spoke about when they were canvassing for the May election

absolute outrage that being heavily pregnant I am expected to get two busses to work along with two busses home along with the 10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop due to not living on a bus route at all.

I work at the hospital and in my contract I require a car as I am in and out so often and I did not got a permit!
