Seeing this amount of backing proves that I am not the only one struggling to get home safely after a brutal twelve hour shift. This momentum shows that the administration can no longer ignore the reality of what it takes for us to do our jobs.

I feel the exhaustion in the breakroom every time a colleague struggles to find a safe way home after a twelve hour shift. We are nearing our first major milestone and need a final surge to prove the hospital administration that our safety matters after dark.

It is wrong when Grampian Health Board are investing £300,000.000 for the future of Healthcare in the surrounding area that basic needs for staff is not looked on as a necessity. Surely world class (operations) are based on first class facilities for all.
I'm one of the members of staff who didn't get allocated a new parking permit. I'm expected to travel on 2 buses, each way, & fork out the costs to do so, which I cannot afford. I'm terribly upset about this & hope that this fiasco gets rectified !
Patient waiting times will increase when vacant shifts are not covered because staff cant get home at the end of a shift they are not going to do extra shifts. Adequate public transport must be in place before denying staff use of the car park .
What other employer has staff having to go to work 1 hr early to walk about the streets to find a space to park streets away from work before working for 12 hrs !!... Undervalued and undermined!!.. And they wonder why staff are leaving in droves!!!
Outrageous.......and dangerous due to travel time added on to 12 hour shifts. People finishing work at 7:30pm and starting again at 7:30 am do not have enough hours to rest between shifts and therefore are not as alert or efficient as they should be.
I can see that having parking permit for staff who work unsciable and long hours would be of great benefit
All 12hr workers should get permits . Bus service in Aberdeen expensive and poor. Not safe for women walking to work in dark mornings.

Absolutely ridiculous that staff cannot get parking permits. My friend lives 20 miles away and has been refused a permit. There is no public transport runs at suitable times for her to get to work or to get home after a 12 hour shift. Slavery in this day and age?
