Car Parking should be available to all staff who work in ARI. People have dependents, are not allowed a permit because they are in close proximity to ARI. Those working outwith peak hours, have to wait for buses that don't run that often and it works out to be a very long day especially for those on 12 hour shifts and live outside Aberdeen. Healthcare workers are often required to do on-call following normal shift patterns i.e. anaesthetists. It is an outrage that the staff are expected to get public transport following any long shift, especially when paying so much on car insurance and tax. Public transport is very expensive in Aberdeen as well as unreliable in comparison to the central belt in Scotland. Please consider supporting the staff in ARI and sign this petition so we can get our car parking reinstated.
