The primary mission of the garden is to produce plots/boxes for the neighborhood gardener as well as;
Grow & Distribute fruits & vegetables grown specifically for donation to homeless shelters and the underprivileged.Partner & Collaborate with other gardens, local schools and any Vallejo community-based venture sharing the importance of locally available foods and health eating.Sustainability through Education offering affordable monthly workshops and classes that educates and inspires while supporting some of the necessary expenditures of the garden.

LOVE this idea. My kids would learn so much by getting their hands dirty and helping out the shelter at the same time. Count us in!
Finally. Vallejo needs more green spaces and less blighted corners. Good work guys.
I live right down the street and walk my dog past there every morning. It would be so nice to see flowers instead of weeds and broken glass.
That lot has been a total eyesore for years. Anything is better than the trash pile sitting there right now. Glad someone is finally doing something.
IM ALL FOR THIS. BRING SOME PRIDE BACK TO THE HILL.

I was born and raised in Vallejo. My grandson and his ladyfriend just moved into a Marin St. apartment coming back home from San Fransico State University and the diverse community there. The apartment is across the street from the st.vinnies garden.. I told my grandson, i will plant something over there and you and Diana can watch it and take care of it! Im all for beauty to the community,raises Vallejos standards.
