Community gardens are not only able to provide healthy food to our campus community, but also to help fuel community development as well as community interaction. We can also provide produce to local Bethlehem residents who may struggle with getting healthy food. Many people don't know that Moravian College is located in the heart of a food desert, so we are hoping to reach a goal of 250 signatures from alumni, current students, as well as the people of Bethlehem to show that there is a desire and need for a community garden.
Fingers crossed this happens. As a newbie to smoothies and cold pressed juices I can feel the benefits in my health in just a few months!
