I don’t understand how this helps Kirkwood. Do we get tax revenue from the church? I am totally against this permanently changing the streets of Kirkwood.

I am against giving this land to St. Peters in exchange for more parking spaces! Kirkwood needs to quit spending millions of dollars on parking spaces! Why should Kirkwood taxpayers have to pay half of the maintenance of St. Peter's parking lot? Why are we giving up a public street? This is another stupid idea that seeks to spend taxpayer money frivolously. My taxes are high enough already!

Don’t think we should be cutting off the street grid that makes Kirkwood so unique. Traffic flows well in Kirkwood because of this. If St Peter wants this they would need to put up significantly more money for it

There is no way that closing this road would benefit Kirkwood in any way. This was tried years ago under another administration who promptly shut down the proposal.

This is the second time around for this idea and it is still a travesty. The ‘church’ should not be allowed to usurp public property.

St. Peter's is a wonderful school and church, but this is a flawed approach for expansion and not for the benefit of the Kirkwood community as a whole.

The disruption of the downtown street grid for a few surface parking spaces is a poor trade. St Peters has functioned on this grid for 150+ years they need to work with what they have and not take public right of way. Residents deserve better.

It's just not right the way st.peters and kirkwood are trying to do this. It doesn't always have to be about greed.

Why do unpopular proposals need to be voted down multiple times?

I have a hard time seeing how this is going to be what's best for kirkwood.

How can you take our street away? MO.
This is an abomination ! I am a St Peter’s person but this is horrible. If they need more llland - go up! Not land grab. Or purchase houses adjacent to school/church. Not this!!!

My concern is that the closing of Jefferson is going to dump more traffic onto Argonne. We live directly across the street from the rectory. It looks to be that there will be another parking lot in the front facing Argonne; therefore the street will be even busier than what it is currently, and with another restaurant opening it will get crazy busy here. It is to the point that it's very dangerous for all.
We are all for the St. Peter's building a new school, etc... but not for the closing of Jefferson. Maybe new plans need to be drawn up, or a new location. Kirkwood School District owns some land off of Lindeman. Now that would be a thought!

This was already voted down hy residents, why is it coming up again?? Increased traffic and confusion on Clay to go around the xlosure impacting the flow of cars. Ridiculous its even being considered again!

This is NOT a good idea. Close the street with gates maybe during school hours if we are to concede to giving away LAND! BUT THIS IS BAD ALL AROUND!!!!
