our kitchen had no furniture other than a small coffee table when we moved in, three weeks later we finally had a table to eat off and somewhere to sit, this was due to too many couches being put in the communal area and not in our kitchen. builders had left the place full of dust and dirt when moving in my window wasn't allowed to be open for over a week, this was ridiculous especially when we first moved in and the paint fumes were intolerable. Bryn Eithen J block Our kitchen door was broken for a good week and fixed at 10 at night. One of our showers was broken for a week and a half. Water was out for about 5 hours. My room lock is only just being fixed after about two and a half weeks. Issues of security.

one, i am fed up with putting comments on the maintenance thing on the halls of residence page every time somethings goes wrong ect cause they dont come and help, its ridiculous, i have already made a formal complaint to the halls through the student union and most of the things got sorted. But its wrong to be living on a building site, health could be affected for one. hopefully by doing this we can get some money back which we deserve. i really do think the prices in the shop are far to high and the gym is to small, i honestly thought it was going to be bigger,

Penmon 101A i believe that this petition is bang on and changes need to be done we have not been given what we were told was here, and there was such a big hype of the place to then come here and have a big let down.

I don't live in St Marys but I have friends that do and after visiting them I can tell you for a fact that they should not be paying to live on an active building site with none of the facility's promised to them prior to moving in.

Living conditions have been atrocious since I've moved into the accommodation campus. Living in a flat of 8 people and only having one working Fridge and one working cooker out of two for both. Each of them have caused great annoyance for the people in my flat as we are very limited for food purchase due to us being limited to 1 fridge to stock 8 peoples worth or food and the cooker making things more cramped and irritating.

I'm a second year and I live on Ffridd site but no one should have to suffer with all the above things, I definitely wouldn't expect it here so why should it be any different at St Mary's?

12 Ffordd Tudno No dining room table or coffee table for 3 WEEKS. My bathroom flooded for the entirety of the first week, took them days to respond (I went down to reception and noted it online). My flatmate's had a hole in his ceiling that the builders finally 'fixed' last week. They just made the hole bigger and left dirty plaster and muddy footprints all over his bed, floor, and clothing. No hoover to clean the awful sandpaper floors. We had to buy our own. The list goes on... I've reported stuff online and nobody has come by to fix the issues (it's been weeks). Our door handle to our kitchen had completely fallen off, so the door couldn't open easily (i.e. fire hazard), so after 3 weeks of waiting, we asked one of the builders to just fix it while he was in our flat looking at my flatmate's hole in the ceiling. It was done in a matter of minutes.

Starting university is hard enough as it is, without all of these extra issues. Something has to be done.
