St. Louis Hall Conditions

Make it safe and healthy for the kids!

My friends daughter recently began living here. Barely a month and she is ill constantly. There is mold growing everywhere. Fix this problem. People are being compromised.

This is shameful. How can you let your students live like this? Did you really deliberately put transfer students in this hell hole?

My friend, a resident of St. Louis Hall, shouldn't be having to miss class in order to attend doctors appointments made necessary by the conditions of this dorm. Charging students over $9000 to live in a residence hall that is not just disgusting, but harmful to their health, is simply unethical. Having a safe place to sleep is vital to a student's success (of course), and in this case, is what they are paying for and not receiving. The bar is already set low for typical college dorms, but this is completely horrific. Not a good look for Loyola.

This is absolutely ridiculous, the conditions are abhorrent. It is difficult enough to send a child to live a couple thousand miles away (at great expense, I might add) without the added worry of them residing in a festering petri dish. Do better Loyola.

These conditions are inadequate. Please act quickly to remedy them.

This is absolutely unacceptable. The health and well being of the students should be a priority.

I’m not even a resident at this hall, but I’ve been there a few times with my friends and I’m not even kidding every time I’ve been there I’ve felt like I suffocated! The living conditions are horrible, and students pay a ton of money!

Condemn these dorms

It is appalling to hear that students are living in appalling conditions and it is not an option for this to be ignored!!

This situation is appalling at best. Higher education at such an accredited university should not mean it’s students should have to settle for abhorrent living conditions. This is a travesty and an embarrassment. Loyola should be ashamed.

Absolutely disgusting that Loyola would allow such conditions on their campus. Hoping for the best of luck getting through to them!

This is absolutely appalling mess. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed immediately. You need to find housing for these students somewhere else campus now.

The whole point of dorms is to provide a safe and secure home away from home for our kids to be able to focus on their studies and emotional development. The institute owes these students financially and ethically for making it difficult for them to do what they came there to do.

I helped my granddaughter, Te'a Johnson, move into this dorm. I was shocked by the condition of the room. Now, my worst fears have come true. This dorm was not ready for occupancy.

PLEASE do something, this is heartbreaking to read. These students who pay your intitution their hard earned money do not deserve this whatsoever, and should be relocated with conditions this dangerous considering the illnesses they are suffering.

This is appalling that this institution would put profit over the health of its students. Is your mission to bring up the future generation or milk them for money at any cost?

A few close friends of mine reside in St. Louis, and I must say that I have never seen living conditions so poor in my entire life. They have 2 rodents constantly disrupting them and potentially carrying dangerous pathogens into their living space. Not to mention the fact that mold is visibly present and the smell is extremely pungent. This is completely unacceptable and something needs to be done to condemn the atrocity that is St. Louis Hall.

My friends living in St. Louis hall have had their school performance and mental health directly affected by the difficulties put on them by their housing. Finding ways around their sleeping arrangements
