As over four thousand other parents have commented --- our kids NEED to be IN school... they're suffering in all aspects by not having in-person learning.

Our kids need to be IN school. They are not receiving the education they deserve working over a computer. Especially elementary!

We were told once the curve was flattened that we could be airport to enjoy activities again, including our children going back to school. Her children want to go back to school. I need to go back to school. The mental health of our children needs to be taken seriously.

I am a retired teacher and am helping with an online learning assistance program so parents can go to work. We have Kg-5th grade and are doing the best we can under these horrible circumstances. The Kg, 1st, & 2nd are not able to keep up with all the screen changes because they don't read or read well enough and they can't follow the verbal instructions. If someone isn't sitting right there with them listening in, if they get lost there is no way to help them. The older elementary know how to flip their screens to games, etc. instead of paying attention to the teacher. In person education is critical at this age and if parochial schools can be open, why can't public schools to which we pay our taxes be open?

From the beginning of this health fiasco we as citizens have had our lives hijacked by the health professionals and public officials, had to listen and watch scaremongering messages from media and publicly funded health organizations, and had our civil liberties eroded. For what? People want to be responsible for their own agency, health, and way of life. Making their own decisions and choices about how to raise their children and do business. I am not responsible for the health of others. The volnerable need to be responsible for themselves. Schools need to teach. That is what they are paid for. If teachers (teachers union) don't want to teach, find new teachers who will...end of story.
