It seems odd this should be any problem.
My vehicles are all legally registered properly, yet because I forget to move my car sometimes on street cleaning day , even though the street cleaner does not arrive I get a citation for parking violation, which is followed up by a threatening sounding letter from City Hall even after I paid for the ticket. Yet when my garage is burglarized I have high definition video of the burglar in his vehicle with no plates on it , other neighbors have spotted his vehicle with no plates on it ,
He has not been even picked up .
Something is very wrong with this whole scenario .

Should be based off the date on the license. I say after 3 months, tow them.

Shouldn’t be driving around with out tags or with expired tags. It’s only fair to everyone who does pay. Enforcing the law may just help this city.

I am appalled at the number of temp tags driving and parking around my neighborhood—some as old as a year expired. Yet I was ticketed once for 2 week old expired plates! That’s discrimination—because I can pay and the temp tag bandits with no insurance cannot or will not. The law needs to be enforced fairly and equitably.

This needs to happen in the county as well

The STATE should require all temporary plates are returned to the DMV upon expiration and/or proper licensing of said vehicle. They also need to go back to requiring trucks display a plate on both the front and back of the vehicle like cars do.

If I can follow rules that the state mandates, everyone else should do the same. Don't buy a car you cannot provide registration and insurance for.

I wish I could sign this 10 times over. If the city would address this ONE problem it would be a game changer in my neighborhood.

We need great help in this matter. The authorities can do everything, is also our responsibility to participate if we want changes for safer place to live!

We even have a family member driving on expired tag for over a year. And he is a cop, thinking the rules do not belong to him. Nothing I can do

The City of St Louis needs to take these unregistered and uninsured vehicles seriously. Towing is the only solution, piles of fines have not worked.

It is the wild west in the City. These vehicles are out of control.
Do it.
