The St Johns Wood Redevelopment plan to build high(er) density living spaces seems to go against the very spirit and mantra of Reston. Although this development would be welcome and appropriate in Reston Town Center, the proposed development is located in the middle of a thriving residential area. How did this get approved? And how is it nobody was aware of the project until now? Reston is known for thoughtful approval of all changes to existing structures especially in residential neighborhoods. This project completely violates the aesthetic and harmony of Reston, the existing neighborhood, and the surrounding area. I vote to reconsider the "approval" of this project until all the current home/property owners in the immediate area have an opportunity to say "yes" or "no" to the project. Sincerely, Tony Nyberg

I have been a Reston resident for over 40 years. I am deeply disturbed by the recent overdevelopment. This is not the Reston I know and love.

I oppose the St Johns Wood redevelopment plan at North Point, Reston.

Keep in mind also that children in the St. John's community wanting to be be redeveloped are considered "walkers" to and from school. With the additional traffic potentially could be also putting our children at risk unless this was addressed upfront.

To date, the area around the Center Harbor Rd and N. Village Road intersection has been a beautiful, woodsy walking area i harmony with the surrounding area. The proposed development would change the character of this area for the worse forever..

I was a previous resident in those apartments and loved the place as is.

Reston is losing it green space and already overcrowded. The streets can not handle the traffic congestion that already exists. The number of units should not be increased above what currently exists for St. John's Woods community.

The current proposed development would severely negatively impact our neigaborhood. The additional traffic, parking, and most importantly, aesthetics would dramatically change our environment.

My biggest concern is traffic. On Center Harbor. It will be very difficult to turn left from Church Hill Place. Have roundabouts been considered?

Another development without listening to the people or planning appropriate infostructure.

5 stories = too much density. Reston doesn't need this high density development north of Baron Cameron. Give it 7-10 years to see how traffic around route 267 crossings works out with the development already underway

The lack of parking per unit is a very bad idea.

Increasing density in North Reston goes against the Reston master plan. The proposed design is inconsistent with current deisign in this part of Reston. Traffic has already been severely impacted in this section of Reston due to the metro at Weihle and increasing density.

Please listen to the concerns of the community before this plan moves forward. There are many flaws that need to be addressed.

Higher density is bad news for North Reston on all counts. Urbanization of Reston needs to be confined to the area of the Town Center. If I wanted to live in Bethesda, I would move there.

Totally against the high rise expansion. We have been in N Point Reston since '85. N point is already crowded enough, we do not need more residents not to mention that the schools are already in overload. We chose n Reston because there are NO high rises. Let's keep it that way. Please keep Reston charming where little neighborhoods are nestled behind trees. Thank you.

Reston has been my home off-and-on since 1973, and I have thoroughly enjoyed living here! I've also had the pleasure of meeting and talking w/Bob Simon many times over the years, and wonder what he would say about the proposed high-density redevelopment in a town Mr. Simon founded and took such pride in. Therefore, I am opposed to plans to redevelop St. Johns Woods into 250-500 HIGH RISE rentals, etc., because such a plan is a not only incongruous, but if approved, could begin the urbanization of Reston. No Way!!! Furthermore, the proposed design, as stated, is NOT in compliance with Reston's Master Plan promoting our community's garden-style "look and feel." The proposed redevelopment would wreak havoc on Reston's natural as well as community environment. For the sake of everyone living and working in Reston, I urge Fairfax County NOT TO APPROVE THE BOZZOTO DEVELOPER'S PROPOSED HIGH DENSITY REDEVELOPMENT OF ST. JOHNS WOODS! Regards, B. McIntyre Reston, VA

Will cause disruption to the neighborhood and traffic and parking issues. It will also remove a lot of trees.
