As a Realtor, I see overly dense new developments with insufficient parking all over Fairfax County. This impacts not just the people in the development, but adjacent areas as well. Large developments must have sufficient parking, and it is clear that Fairfax County's requirements are way to low. The St. Johns Woods plan is too dense based on parking alone, not to mention that it is totally inappropriate and inconsistent with the surrounding neighborhoods.

The trees must stay and density will be an issue.

This project should be re-scaled to fit the goals of Reston and alleviate potential traffic & safety issues in a highly residential area with families & schools nearby

This is in no way what R E Simon had in mind for Reston nor why I live here.

I support the concerns of Hemingway cluster residents. There are already a lot of cars parking on Center Harbor. I moved here to get away from congestion and for the natural beauty of area.

We are opposed to the redevelopment of St. Johns Wood because it will cause congestion on the local roads, the buildings will tower above other local housing, too many trees will be cut down and the project runs counter to the original idea of what Reston is all about.

I strongly oppose the proposed development of St John's Wood. It would be an eyesore, greatly add to congestion netting and exiting my community and change the whole character of the neighborhood. Not to mention lower the neighborhoods property values. The current environment is why we moved to Reston and specifically this one mediate neighborhood .

My husband and I have just moved to Reston very recently. One of the reasons we chose the North Point Village area was because of the lack of tall buildings. The architecture and density of the proposed changes to St John's Woods would be greatly out of character with the North Point neighborhood. That, and the fact that traffic would be greatly impacted, are why we strongly oppose this project.

I am against the proposed development of St. John's Woods as it would significantly change increase the building footprint, tower over surrounding low rise housing and significantly increase traffic flow on surrounding secondary streets not designed for the expected volume. The proposed development would also dramatically decrease the tree cover/greenery. Together, that would be inconsistent with the Reston vision and the surrounding area housing.

I don't want any further development in this area off Center Harbor Road where St. John's Wood is located.

This proposal creates an inappropriate density and increases traffic congestion in a school zone already experiencing traffic congestion.

I strongly oppose this project. I implore the Reston Association to decline approval of this project and similar developments in our residential communities/clusters of Reston.

We need you to listen to our concerns and act responsibly to take them into account in any final decision. This major redevelopment design will destroy our quality of life and change the nature of the area surrounding our homes [one of the BIG reasons we bought here.] Thank you. --Linda Rule

Financial repression, FHA, and HUD enable bad actors in real estate to affect outrageous price inflation for housing and rent. Unsatisfied with the ill-gotten windfalls from decades of housing intervention, now they seek to use boons and privileges like AFFH to have taxpayers subsidize their real estate expansion, since they've already maxed out the prices they can get within the markets. This is not just awful for Reston - this is an un-American usurpation on the taxpayer's dollar. No American should allow Bozzuto to turn their property into a construction zone, kick out residents, and make their lives miserable for years, just to build their own infrastructure on tax boons and grants from HUD. It's their rental property, but if they want to create havoc on it, they should pay the cost in reputation and cash, without a dime of tax advantage or federal grants. In addition to opposing this usurpation, please also petition incoming HUD secretary Ben Carson to kill the AFFH program that is inspiring such unjust usurpation by companies like Bozzuto across the nation. Cut off the corruption at the source - the tax boons, grants, and subsidies. If they want to build, they should pay for it themselves like the rest of us do. If it's too expensive for them to lose rental revenues during construction, then the project is not economically advantageous, and in no case should taxpayers bear the burden like serfs for the revenues of Bozzuto.

High density projects such as the SJW expansion should be located near the RTC/toll road, NIMBY.
