The redevelopment will result in a much higher density development that even with improved exit on Reston Parkway will significantly increase traffic in North Point area. An up to date and comprehensive traffic study should be done to assess the impacts and should be shared with the community.

I agree with all the concerns raised below Traffic exits Tree preservation Visibility from adjacent properties and roads Character of property (Property mass and architecture as defined for St Johns Wood in the newly revised Reston Master Plan) Length of redevelopment project Community feedback and comments

I concur with these concerns.

in addition to previously made comments I would add that the subect of overflow parking needs to be addressed. Most apartment complexes in the area have heavy use of street parking every night. See for instance the parking on Center Harbor near Waterfront. This is also a concern during construction. North Village is too narrow for street parking, and Center Harbor is often too busy. With approximately 510 rental units the new development needs something on the order of space for 1,000 cars on the property.

I live in Devonshire...next door to St. John's....it is beautiful and quiet and fits into the aura of our neighborhood....None of us want this monster of a complex in our back year...Stop this crazy idea....

I have the following concern: 1. Increased traffic congestion 2. Tree preservaton 3. Visibility from adjacent properties and roads. 4. Failure to request and review community feedback

First of all, we have lived in Reston for over 25 years and communication between you guys and us has been HORRIBLE. You didn't even notify us BEFOREhand that all this is going to happen. We will not allow this to happen, where this has to be done in another location. People move here for the less traffic and quietness, and you are ruining what Reston has been for years. STOP this.

I want to stop the plan (St Johns Wood Community plan) from proceeding forward without additional revisions to the design. The community needs more direct input.

If every homeowner in the affected area was really aware of this plan there would be many more objections. The DRB and Fairfax County should have done a better job with publicity. The ingress/egress plan shows a complete lack of understanding of traffic in the area affected and will just turn beautiful North Village Rd between Center Harbor and Wiehle, and the pathways around it, into a busy thoroughfare to cut through to Wiehle. The primary entrance should be on Reston Parkway as mentioned in the petition. Another major issue is the height of the buildings which are two floors higher than nearby buildings and completely inconsistent with the surrounding neighborhoods. According to the requirements to sit on the DRB 6 of the 9 members must be professionals in the area of architectural design. It would be useful to understand the criteria of how this plan could be approved. I don't understand it. More and more IMHO it seems like the Reston BOD that appoints the DRB is unduly influenced by builders rather than its constituents. Mabe it's time to take elections to the BOD more seriously and also make sure we have the right executives representing the future of our community. Respectfully, Richard Paulson

Development is too big to fit in with the neighborhood. Why is it more than double of the current residences?

We are concerned about privacy and visibility from adjacent properties and roads and the community on the back . Also, woods and tree preservation will be compromised which is not healthy.

St. John's is 2m from the Metro, not 1m or 1.5 m. The schools here are already overcrowded. No provision for increased traffic is made. One additional entrance to St. John's is inadequate. Due to dangerous traffic flow, the entrance to North Village needs to be redirected. There have already been too many near misses with North Village Rd. cars. Overcrowding will lower property values of all homes in the area.

Project is too large for the existing infrastructure and woefully underestimates parking needs of the community that will inevitably spill over into neighboring streets/communities/shopping centers.

Aldrin School is on Center Harbor Rd. With so many children crossing the road, walking home and the congestion from school buses, parent's cars etc we should be restricting traffic flow not drastically increasing it by putting the entrance to a big development just up the road. Please protect our community from this potential big influx of cars.

This project is completely not in keeping with the aesthetic of North Reston in all aspects especially the scale and design is far too URBAN not like the scale and designs of surrounding neighbors as per the master plan . Stop this overdevelopment of North Reston completely inappropriate.

The proposed plan is entirely too large for the location and does not work with the existing neighborhoods. It belongs next to the Metro or at Reston Town Center - not in North Point. As a resident of Reston for more than 45 years, this saddens me to see how developers are taking over and completely changing the "Live, Work & Play" environment that Reston was built on. PLEASE - take a step back and rethink this project before it's too late.

I think the proposed plan is not in keeping with the architecture in North Reston. It would be an eyesore if approved; it is a massive building that belongs in the Town Center area. St. John's Woods would no longer be the attractive enclave surrounded by woods with the reduced setback and HUGE buildings. The impact on safety and traffic are also a factor that have not been addressed to the satisfaction of many. They need to reduce to number of units and rethink the plan. An exit only (right turn) on to Reston pkwy is needed,
