Why should we relinquish our traditions and alter our culture to accommodate a select few. It’s time for them to embrace Island Life the way we live it no matter how inconvenient it may be.

Please keep this tradition alive! I have not only attended the parade but when I had a business on the Island I was in the parade a few years! This is one day out of 365 for a total of 90 minutes, please keep this tradition alive!

Since this is a tradition from when our family members from haut gap high started and segregated to St. John’s and now we are signing a petition to keep this intact? Beyond that, why are we finding another route when there is many more options for the residents to take. This is really ridiculous, we are asking for 90 minutes out of the year.

As an alumni, we look forward to homecoming and the parade! This is one of the few times classes get together and remember when. We shouldn't have to stop our traditions for people who don't know or understand our way of life. They need to conform to us. Not the other way around. You want to live this country life? You should accept what goes with it!

Don't change tradition just because it's an "inconvenience" to new comers. There are alternate routes that can be taken on this one day a year when the parade is going on.
Please keep the parade!
