The turntable at St Blazey is a valuable part of the ralway infrastructure in the South West. It needs to be kept in working order to allow steam charter excursions to operate west of Plymouth

To allow a valuable and essential part of our industrial history to fall into disuse and maybe eventual closure is a MAJOR folly. In the interest of tourism and maintaining our industrial past it MUST be kept in workable condition.

This is a real asset now as it enables steam trains to come to be turned in Cornwall. These trains bring in much needed rev These trains bring much need revenue to this and the surrounding area. Both the turntable and the round house are of historic interest and are listed and should be preserved. Malcolm Bowers. Parish Priest. St. Blazey and Tywardreath am trains to come to Cornwall and brings in valuable income. Along with the round house it is of historic interest and should be preserved. The communites at St. Blazey, Tywardreath and Par are rightly proud of their history and want to continue to benefit from these trains coming to our area.

I agree with the comment by John Thorpe if a St. Blazey Turntable Volunteer Work Group was formed, following any repairs required, I would be quite happy to put my name forward as a volunteer.

There is so much being sold out here in Cornwall, it's like someone wants to close it down as far as being an attractive and interesting are is concerned and turn it into just one big "New Town".
