Surley it cannot cost that much for an overall.I would that thought a little oil ang grease on the bearings would do wonders.

It would be a shame to lose such a valuable asset to mainline steam in the West Country as well as losing a piece of railway history. Let's hope the powers that be can see that and save this turntable. There's one up in Aberdeen that NR are thinking of returning to use I believe, why not employ a similar scheme here?
