I’m against panhandling. Please remove them from our beautiful St George St and downtown St Augustine. It is causing a really bad image for our old city that is visited by so many tourists and locals.

Our town needs to be cleaned up. The businesses, the tourists, the residents deserve to be protected.

Need to get under control before the city of saint Augustine has no tourists, no businesses. The only thing left will be the trash & boarded up windows of the stores forced to close because they had free run of the city and drove the tourists far away

Please make out downtown safe again. The vagrants and homeless needs places to go, beds to sleep in outside the city.

There really has been an alarming increase in the volume of panhandlers and vagrants over the past three years. We, personally, have changed our habits about where we go and when we go. The smells down town are overwhelming especially during the summer. We are a kind city but out kindness is turning us into a potty where businesses are being hurt and citizens are being runoff. My kids do not need to see, smell or be near that filth.

I’m disgusted by what has happened to down town st augustine. St george street looks like there’s been a food fight with stains from drinks, food and who knows what else. So many areas smell like urine and when you get tired of walking you can’t find a bench because someone is sleeping or camped out around it. It’s very heartbreaking that this is what it has come to. Very sad that I can’t keep telling people how beautiful it is to walk around town

As someone who deals with many downtown St Augustine in the historic districts the issues of vagrants and panhandlers, I see how it has affected businesses and their employees. No one should have to show up to work and clean feces from the building, blood from a front porch, or needles in the landscaping. I have done all three and this is why I am demanding change from those who are suppose to represent all citizens not just the vagrants which trash our beautiful city.

St. Augustine vagrants are chasing tourists away & creating a health concern. Also, why is it legal to beg & not pay taxes since this is their chosen occupation? Why is no license required? There's a license to fish & hunt, to own a business enemy to sell stuff in the plaza but a Vagrant can earn hundreds of dollars tax free

This has really gotten out of hand and is a disgrace to our town & community! I feel embarrassed for our locals as well our tourists! I live downtown & work downtown so I am often downtown with my children & grandchildren walking as well as driving on an everyday basis so we all see a lot. I work at a bed & breakfast so I hear the concerns from our guests which are tourists coming to see money in our town. I would love to see a solution to this problem sooner than later before it gets an worse.
