National Park land, now this. When will you elected folks understand the public wants what is public kept that way. Find another way to meet your budgets than selling off the few cherished assets common folk can still call their own - WITHOUT some corporation slapping their damn name on it.

Suggestion: Given that a significant portion of the upper terrace is at the level of the neighbor's house, there may be a legal way for the Library to modify its title to grant the neighboring residence an easement for certain purposes. This would allow 1) the neighbor reasonable use of the the area adjacent to the residence, 2) retain value and enjoyment of recent landscaping the homeowner performed, but allow the Library to retain title. The actual easement boundary would need to be negotiated. If the the hill contour accommodated reasonable maintenance of both upper and lower slope by the two parties, a resolution might be possible. In the event of distant future expansion by the Library/City, the easement would become void.

Selling any part of this property would be a terrible loss. St Anthiny Park Library is one of the most beautiful libraries in the State. This in part is because of the green space around it. I visit this library at least once a week because of interior and exterior spaces. Please do not share my address. Thank you.

As a 21 year resident of SAP, having raised my family here, I know the importance of this land to our community. I strongly urge our elected representatives to listen very carefully to our petition and stop the sale of this land. We must be heard and included in all decisions affecting the neighborhoods we support with our taxes. We are the community

Whomever runs the City of St. Paul needs to learn fiscal responsibility and learn to quit adding people and projects they can't afford. This was a very nice place for me to live when I moved in twenty years ago; but since then, every single street or other project I have seen that was suppose to make things better has only made them worse. Taxes keep going up, not only on property, but every other utility service as well. The leaders of this town are in my opinion continually making the space here more and more unlivable.
