People keep asking me why this legislation matters so much right now and honestly I just want to make sure New Mexico stops pushing away potential growth just because our tax code is stuck in the past. I have been fielding calls all morning from a few local business owners who are finally starting to see why the single sales factor approach is the only way forward. It feels like we are actually hitting a nerve with the legislators finally listening even if they are moving like molasses.

New Mexico really needs this. Jobs are hard to find here and we gotta stop making it so tough for businesses to grow.
ABOUT TIME. WE NEED TO BE COMPETITIVE AGAIN.
Too many businesses are leaving the state because of taxes. Fix this now.

HB507 is long overdue. pass it already.
