Recess and outdoor play should not have to be an occasional occurrence. Child development experts agree that daily recess is vital not only to the physical, but also the social, emotional and intellectual development of children. The lack of a consistent outdoor play space at the school is a major problem. It is a wonderful institutuion in so many ways, but unfortunately St. Saviour will not be able to compete with the other schools in the neighborhood without coming up with a solution. In the meantime the current students are not having the educational experience they deserve.

Choosing parking over our children being able to get a safe place to play !!!! What is going on !!

My concern is if this area belongs to the school why is this even an issue. Have the owners of the vehicles park in the street or take public transportation. Many students in the pass were able to use this area and the current students deserve the same safety. . Unless the school can get the streets cleared and blocked off during lunch and recess.

Deep inside us where God always dwells, with rigorous honesty, we might ask what's truly the right answer to this..... Not what's more convenient or beneficial for the church....just a thought

Safety suppose to be priority right? You can't contradict yourself. I understand parking is hard around the area ...... drop off for parents is also a problem. You are telling the parent to be responsible. So you as a congregation need to do the same. As you venture off to profitability for school, guess what, we paid for the space.......next to the school too.

There must be a way to accommodate the VERY few people who should be parking here AND also allow the children to use this space. Parking in NYC is a luxury, having children spend time outdoors during their school day is not!

The kids are currently playing on the sidewalk, which is unacceptable. When I went to Epiphany in Manhattan we played in the parking lot. I don't see why St. Saviour should be any different. Please reconsider.
