As a parent for over 6 years at St Saviours, the lack of outdoor space has always been a concern. Where our students get a chance to take advantage of the schools proximity to the park, I am aware that they feel constrained and would like to go a place, next to their school. Please reconsider this request and help keep St Saviours competitive. Thank you.

It is not safe for our children from St Saviour Catholic Academy to be playing on the sidewalk, when we have a nice space behind the school.

I am a parent of 2 children that attended the academy. One of the contributing factors to our decision to switch schools was the lack of playground. We love and miss our Saint Savior Catholic academy family dearly and would love to see this petition come to fruition.

The parking lot is a great space for the children of SSCA to play. I agree that the children's safety should take precedent over parking.

I'm a neighbor of the school and while many homeowners disapproved of closing the street when PlayStreets was proposed, I think this is the perfect alternative. The traffic situation is unbearable during the AM drop off and PM pick-up times. This is a safe option that works for everyone. Can't the cars go parked on the street in front of the church with their clergy permits?

Physical activity promotes health, growth, and child development. In America, child obesity is becoming an epidemic. This is a serious matter. I really hope that the concerned parties take this issue into consideration.

I don't think is fair to us and our kids with all the fees we pay ,our kids should be allowed to play at that space and not use as a parking lot.

The parking Lot is most likely not used constantly like it would be if you were to pull into a parking lot to buy groceries. In this case the one car that would need to pull in to park every few hours, is no cause for alarm and not enough reason why the children should not be able to play in an open space.
When I was a kid we played in the street and when a car would come down the block we would all move to the side and let the car pass.
In this case I'm sure there will be at least two adults outside monitoring the children and any cars that would need to Pull in to park.
The teachers can have a system where they blow a whistle all the children freeze and everyone walks to one side of the lot so the car can pull in safely. Kids these days are more overweight then any other time due to lack of physical activity.
Physical activity plays a vital role in the importance of children's lives. When you exercise and move around and play and have fun you release endorphins, you gain energy, you focus better you feel better listen better. In my opinion it's more important to have the children outside when the weather is warm and it's a beautiful sunny day so they can move their bodies !

you should consider what year competitor school is doing before making such rash decisions Kama which affect the entire student populous.it appears that people may be more concerned about finding a parking space rather than the welfare of the children and which they are charged to protect.

Part of effective learning is having regular physical activity. It benefits our students to be able to process what they've learned while moving and it helps them to remain attentive while sitting in lessons.

We would love to have the space, even if it is for a few days a week. The kids need to go outside and feel fresh air and play games where they can run, even in wet weather.
