process for making this decision? Why no financial statement and long range plan as rationale?

We looked all over FL before joining Santa Rosa - mainly because we could walk the course. Walking fees come up periodically and the membership loudly protests. This is an equity club and the board needs to get member input before implementing such a decision.

Raising the cart fee and introducing a walking fee is a decision that is without merit. Raise the dues and increase cart fees for outside play if money is the issue. Our northern guest have lost over seeding and are now hit with a walking fee in addition to a 12 monthly bill cycle for 5 months of play. Member satisfaction matters!!!!!!

Making equity members pay to walk their course isn't a good Board decision.

Pass any such absurd charges on to the public , not to our very appreciated members who walk!

Several of the members have decided if this fee continues we will cut back on expenses at Mulligans and The Vue.

While not required, it would be prudent for the board to discuss changes like walking fees and Club Corp Mgt contracts with Equity Members ahead of the decision.

No longer a member but correspond with a lot of beach friends and get the club newsletter which we enjoy. I have always thought that a club member who was elected to a CC board has a tendency to go brain dead. Many in the SRGBC proved it in the past. Now that the club is in the hands of outsiders, the question now is just money, money and more money. Were I now to visit and walk about the old course would I be subject to a walking fee or arrested for trespassing. Shades of Idiocy. Call a psychiatrist...dr. d.

The fee charged seems to be more of a financial nightmare to keep up with than what it's worth.

$ 2.00 fee? Well, we do not have to worry about potential new members thinking Santa Rosa Golf Club may be too upscale. Welcome to the Santa Rosa Municipal Golf Course

Walking (without additional fees) was a significant factor in our joining the club. The Board has mis-read the mood of the members by imposing this very unpopular fee!

We have been equity members since 1988. Walking SRGBC is the reason many join, and the walking fee is very tacky. Are we becoming a muni. Is this the Directors plan?

After expressing satisfaction with the financial health of the club, it seems strange to impose a new fee on the members for trying to stay healthy.

Not fair how it was implemented. $2 this year, what next year $3, then $4, etc.

Not only walking fee but cart and range fee increases. A lot to absorb in one year.

They should not charge for walking as that is what keeps us health.
