It seems like we are already paying a "walking fee" when we pay our monthly dues, which many of us pay in full for the entire year and are only able to use for 3 to 6 months a year.

We have been equity members since 1995 and have seen many changes, but through the years we were assured by many candidates running for the board that they would not support " a walking fee." In the July board minutes a " walking fee was mentioned" but board felt that this would cause a lot of backlash. At what meeting was this brought up again?
We also ask that the board reconsider the walking fee!

Despite $2.00 being a paltry sum of money it will cost more to generate the charge and cause no end of arguments with the accounting department. Besides, the charge for walking flies in the face of all evidence that indicates walking on a course such as ours not only promotes faster play but is beneficial to the turf and certainly to the health and well being of the membership. Instead of penalizing players who walk the board should be promoting our better health and longevity.
Hard to understand any justification for this.

As paying equity members along with supporting Mulligans and the Vue there should be no walking fee ever! It is also causing a lot of billing problems!

Also, if you want to be a class golf club there should never be five players allowed in a group!!!

One of the most appealing parts of SRGBC is the fact that the course can be walked. As it is,we are only able to play the course for 3 months of the year and we pay for 12 months. Please reconsider.
