Radio Serbia International is a trusted source of regional news on shortwave. I am an avid listener and sincerely hope that the Serbian government rescind their decision to close this station.

Serbia needs shortwave radio!

Die Kurzwelle ist das einzige internationale, anonym, kostenfrei, überall und jederzeit mit einfachsten technischen Mitteln empfangbare Medium - auch im 21. Jahrhundert. KW-Sendungen überschreiten jegliche Form von Mauern und Grenzen, tragen zur Versöhnung der Völker bei und sind ein Symbol für Meinungsfreiheit und Demokratie. Ich wünsche Ihnen vom Herzen alles Gute und Ihrer Petition viel Erfolg!

I have listened to radio from Serbia for more than 50 years, since the days of the old Radio Belgrade. This has always been an important station to me. I have visited the country twice and will do so again. Listening to short wave broadcasts from Serbia gave me much pleasure and insight into the country's poitics, culture and way of life. I am greatly saddened by the news that it is to cease and I hope the decision will be reversed. With very best wishes to you, mervyn Winters, Northern Ireland.

Ojalá se reconsideren las posturas por parte de las autoridades serbias, y no pierdan la oportunidad de mantener un medio de comunicación inigualable como es la transmisión en ondas cortas y un efectivo servicio exterior de radio pública. Y no tirar por la borda la historia de una emisora que cuenta con casi ocho décadas.

Bitte setzt das Auslands-Programm aus Serbien weiter fort. Es ist wichtig, Informationen über den Westbalkan zu Politik und gesellschaftlicher Situation auch aus der Sicht Serbiens zu erhalten. La radio è un mezzo economico e facilmente accessibile per raggiungere anche posti lontani. Il fatto che vada ascoltata sono convinto possa aiutare a conoscere e comprendere le altre culture e sviluppare il rispetto per gli altri. Buona fortuna Radio Serbia!

Radio Serbia non può, non deve chiudere! La storia di RS è stata costruita con il lavoro ed i sacrifici di centinaia di collaboratori, giornalisti, impiegati e tecnici ed ha portato la voce della Yugoslavja, la voce della Serbia in ogni parte del mondo. Il futuro delle Onde Corte non è finito ed il risparmio economico non può avvenire con il sacrificio della cultura e dell'informazione.
