As you know Coolidge and Pinal County are the fastest growing regions in our State. We would like to make you aware of a particular intersection that we and many tens of thousands of our fellow Coolidge, Pinal, and Arizona residents use regularly on our commutes. And we’d like to inform you of how dangerous this intersection is, and the urgent need for it to be upgraded with turn lanes and traffic signals. Specifically, this intersection needs both extended right turns lanes from the high speeds of 65MPH on SR-87 and left turn lanes on N Skousen road.
ADOT has this project programmed, yet no date seems to be designated in your 5-year programming plan.
Coolidge needs this upgrade from ADOT. This cannot wait any longer. We respectfully ask that you do what you can to find the money required to make this upgrade happen before any more people get hurt.
Again, we respectfully ask that you please help to get this project moving ASAP, we have waited long enough.

I was looking at the screen and realized we are almost at two hundred and fifty signatures which is just wild because I honestly thought it would take way longer to get this much traction on the intersection issue. If you could just ping one person who drives that road to check this out maybe we can cross that mark before the end of the day because the planners really need to see us hitting these milestones to pay attention.

One hundred people have signed on to fix the Skousen Road intersection and I honestly never thought it would move this fast. It is wild to see that many locals agreeing that we simply need those lights and lanes before someone actually gets hurt out there.

I was just checking the screen and we are almost at one hundred people on this list which is honestly wild since I started this because I was just staring at that intersection getting so frustrated with the traffic flow. If you know anyone who drive through that mess on their way to work please send this link their way right now because I really want to hit that mark before I send the next batch of emails to the department office.

This interection is a nightmare. It also needs a right turn lane east bound onto Skousen along with a signal. Inorder to avoid being rear-ended when slowing to make a right turn, we have to drive off onto the shoulder to make the turn.
It's an extremely dangerous intersection that I have to travel on with my child. I hold my breath every time I pass by it or have to turn on it, hoping I don't get in an accident
This is a very dangerous intersection . Turning left from skousen rd to Highway 87 early morning traffic going from dead stop to 65 mph slows down on coming traffic. Also turning right back on to skousen slows down traffic to dead stop in some cases. 4 way stop lights are needed.
I spent a good portion of my young adult years as a first responder in the pinal county area. I responded to numerous fatalities and severe wrecks at this intersection. A traffic signal will allow for a safe pullout onto the 87 preventing a lot of these wrecks.
This is a very dangerous intersection and my wife, for one, takes that way to go to work and I’ve seen and heard of many many accidents that have happened there. I worry about her taking this way due to the fact of lack of turn lanes and lack of a traffic light. I believe that it would be a tremendous benefit and blessing to this area.
I live in Heartland Ranch that intersection is very dangerous.
I drive this everyday and have witnessed deaths, almost died myself, and it's past time for a light there.
