I've been hoping for a remake for years. I wouldn't mind if they extended the story while they were at it.

I would LOVE to see a remake with voice overs! I loved the characters and the story I just want it to come to life even more by being able to hear them!

This was my favorite final fantasy. I can't wait to see the result of a remake if indeed square enix did one.

VIII is very deserving of a remake. It had a very strong protagonist that is relatable to most people and went in depth to how people can be changed based around love... and it could be a good chance to re-tweak the junction system that most hated.

Not only is it required to innovate and create new content but to please the fans who have not been happy with Square Enix's currently less than stellar track record it is essentially necessary to revisit some of the older and considered classic games that put Square on the jrpg map.

If 7 can get it and 13 had who knows how many and 10 got a sequel, 8 should sure as hell get the same attention and recognition it deserves!

Final fantasy viii was the first FF game I ever played. I rented it at my local video store and within the first 15 decided to return it and but my own copy.
