SPU must continue to grow, change, and diversify in an effort to foster an environment that USB appropriate and fruitful for all people, of all backgrounds. These changes may be great, but I believe they are essential in helping SPU live up to its potential.

I am a future grad student who identifies as a Christian. I see so many injustices and hate when it comes to gender issues, race, equalifty, etc. I see this in politics and what is going on in our world today. As a mother of a gender questioning Teen, a parent of two kids with high functioning autism, and as a Christian woman, I would love to help create a bridge within this movement if needed.

I have been a student, staff, and adjunct faculty member at SPU, and I'm feel proud to be a part of a community who approach issues of social justice and equality with seriousness and prayerfulness, and I hope to see gains made at this university not only in the realm of ethnic diversity, but in equality of gender and sexual identity as well. I am continually impressed with the heart and bravery of SPU students, and as long as they keep speaking out about what they feel is right, I have high hopes for the future of this institution.

I love so much of what this petition stands for. For changing the culture from the inside - absolutely. For addressing the problems of racial and privilege inequity with genuine action at systemic, leadership and relational levels - absolutely. I struggle with the language of demands and some of the methodology of change presented, but I stand wholeheartedly with the spirit of this petition and believe that the things it calls for are absolutely vital to SPU.

As an alumnus of SPU, I am so proud to see students, faculty and other in my community live courageously into the mission to "engage the culture and change the world." Thank you for this well thought out action plan

So excited to see people actually making definitive steps towards this! Thank you for showing that change can actually happen.
Every ethnicity is privileged.
Respect, equality for all.
