Changing start times/end times is a bad plan, man.

This schedule change will make it impossible for me to do some sports activities aswell as music. 20 minutes can make the difference between being able to sleep early or late.

It works very well now for our sophomore athlete!

This is too late to get out of school for HW, extra curricular activities and will not mesh well with other school districts and competitions. Kids will miss more school to accomodate other school release times.

My daughter will have to drop 6th period because of athletics and catch up during summer or taking classes online. We would prefer her to take all 6 periods at school.

That's going to seriously effect sports and extracurriculars, no ones going to be able to do their PE waivers or other activities!

Both class time and athletics are vital to all Kids. Don't set up system where seattle kids have to choose one or the other. That would be horrible

Last year's change has worked; the proposed change will be too disruptive

Get more buses or otherwise solve the problem without straining kids even more

If the release time is 3:50 pm, Seattle's student-athletes (and *any* student with an after school activity) will no longer be on a level playing field with other schools districts when it comes to academics. For example, athletes will miss up to 3 classes 2x per week when traveling to away games. Grades will drop as will the level of play.
