AKK! Please don't push school out til 3:50 next year--I have one child that plays sports and another in robotics. That is too late and my athlete will miss sooo much school. Please add the extra time to the morning--Thank you!! -Aundi Russell

Please do not make the dismissal time for high schools any latter than it is. It makes things hard enough already. My daughter enjoys after school sports and works part time. She will need to give up both if you adopt this change.

Way too late to get out of school. Please find another option. Fund more buses.

This is too much of a squeeze for kids that are trying to fit everything in -- it just makes for too long a day. Let's reconsider.

High School kids have multiple after school commitments and obligations, including significant homework and research, paying jobs, volunteer service jobs and sports. A release time of 3:50 severely compresses their ability to juggle these responsibilities. If we are educating well rounded kids, we need to provide the ability for them to take on these additional responsibilities. please leave the current bell times in place.

I have 4th and 6th graders. While I respect reasonable start/end times for elementary kids, high school students have so much more on the line. You need to go back to the drawing board ASAP and not impose these ridiculous times on the students who have the most at stake. This is NOT equitable.

If anything change the time earlier back to 7:45 and get out at 2:20 so we can all do sports after school.

Extra-curricular activities make well rounded young adults, and the school times are really putting a squeeze on the ability of our kids to pursue them.

SPS cannot get out of their own way in making poor decisions and not considering the downstream effects of such decisions.

My son would not be able to make his after-school swimming practices.

Starting school this late is not preparing our older youth for real life. It also has made homework become unreasonable as students have to start later and therefore end later just adding to the vicious lack of sleep schedule.

The later end time would make extracurricular activities extremely difficult.

Later start times this year are logistically complicated for families, but worth it for the extra sleep for the teens. Any later start times provides no great gains but much more negative consequences.

We have to treat the high school education with top standards which means making sure athletes don't get penalized because of late dismissals! Please help our student athletes succeed!!.
