Although I am not a leaseholder I do not support the installation of sprinklers as I do not think they are needed in a concrete building. It would also cost an absolute fortune for residents to then make good if the works are carried out! No thank u.

I believe this is completely unnecessary for our building. Making sure that no one parks on the spot reserved for fire engine access would be much cheaper and make a lot more sense.

I strongly object to the imposition of sprinklers in my flat. The building has no cladding, has dual escape and it is concrete made. It has been judged safe by the Fire brigade so no need to spend money and to ruin people’s properties. Proper maintenance of fire escape routes, alarm systems and water hoses are what is needed.

Leaseholder contracts should also not be broken to allow the council access to the flats. This is unlawful.

I do not want sprinklers in every room in my flat under any circumstances. I do not feel they are necessary in self contained units in a brick and concrete building with no cladding. I have seen what WBC intends to install and I do not want industrial sized pipes and cheap plastic casing in my home. The noise and disruption will be intolerable. The impact on the fabric of my flat and that of the building is worrying. The length of time that it will take throughout the block makes me ill to think of the noise, disruption, dust and what if asbestos is found ? Then all hell will break loose. The thought of malfunction and/or vandalism also concerns me greatly. No consuItation of any kind from the council has occurred. The leaseholder form which I have signed, and I will be attending the FTT, was meant to mislead by attaching only one copy of the form leaving me ( and others) to photocopy the second required form plus erroneous information concerning their application to the FTT which I did not need to see. I am aware of WBC using ' our money' in order to fund the application to the FTT. Even if WBC where to foot the bill for installing sprinklers in every room in my home I would still be very much against such a thing being done. To have my home totally altered and in my view ruined by such unsightly pipes is soul destroying. Plus the amount of redecoration that would need to be done is mind blowing. These flats are only small, if I was forced to move furniture and fitted items I would have no idea where to move them to. This is a total knee jerk reaction following the Grenfell disaster. have lived here for 41 years and it has been deemed safe until now.

Sprinklers in my flat would be unnecessary, intrusive & expensive. To impose them would be an abuse of power.

I do not want sprinklers in my flat. I should have the choice to decide that and not dictated to by the Council who have not done a proper consultation and want to charge us £4000.

Please WBC leave us alone. Please stop spending our money like there is not tomorrow. We already struggling to make a living .

Builders responsibility making sure their buildings are fire safety or passed safety checked.

The council MUST look at the tower blocks on the Alton Estate individually as there is no spreading fire risk to these concrete blocks and they do not need sprinklers.

I live in a 12 storey block which has no cladding and is not a single core building. Flats in this building primarily have three routes of escape from the building in the event of fire. Moreover, having lived in this building for 28years come September, I have known there to be three fires in this block - EACH of which were contained within the affected flat. I strongly object to having sprinklers in my flat, and all the attendance costs and disruption associated with the installation of sprinklers unnecessarily.

These blocks have been standing for 50 years no problems. When you start adding flammable material it causes problems. Lease holders should not foot the bill.

I dont want my home wrecked again my more of Wandsworth's cowboy contractors.

I found the timing of the initial announcement of this proposal highly suspect - nothing leading up to Grenfell, nothing in the immediate aftermath but as soon as it looked like the Tory council leader in Kensington would have to resign, out comes Mr. Govindia with this hare-brained scheme. I have heard more than one council officer describe it as a 'knee-jerk reaction' and 'not thought through'. I do hope Mr Govindia comes to he senses and stops trying to force this plan on the voters of Wandsworth or it could well lead to the very thing he was trying to avoid - an ignominious end to his career.

Besides putting a heavy financial burden on leaseholders the completely unnecessary retrofitting of sprinklers would be a disgraceful waste of public money and ruin the interiors of everyone's homes.

This is a blanket policy which makes no sense. Each block should be consulted separately and any work should be based upon proper independent risk assessment, particularly for blocks without any cladding. And why should a leaseholder eventually forced pay for the works?

a Precisent has been set. Camden, Fulham and Hammersmith are not asking leaseholders to foot the bill for sprinklers.

Unnecessary in our block, concrete construction and dual fire escapes. Spend the money on maintaining the buildings properly, removing flammable waste from under the buildings, maintaining the dry risers and educating people on what to do in the event of a fire. Maintenance costs and potential damage from false sprinkler triggers will be astronomical! They will fall into disrepair within a few years and become a very expensive, waste of money lesson!
