The controversy is clearly an overly dramatic and narrow minded attack on a thoughtful and beautiful piece about sexual
violence and rape culture. The press and social media presence only illustrate the need for such pieces despite the ardent efforts to silence those individuals every day in every two minutes who are sexually assaulted. Shame on you, Susan Wagner Hogh School. Shame.

This is exactly why this project needs to be seen. The administration's decision just hyper sexualizes the bodies of women and that's exactly what the project is fighting against. That and sexual violence because they both have to do with each other.

Respect for this work, which adds to a tradition of women reclaiming their bodies from oppressive sexualizing gazes, and pays homage to the riot grrrl tradition of writing on the body to counteract the camera as such a gaze. Respect to the artist, your feminist act continues with your fight against the censorship of the work.

Women as a group get pushed to the side and are given less because of what gender we are. Men get to show their backs, shoulders, knees , etc but it's wrong if a women does. Rape and objectifying women as sexual objects is sadly still common today and someone needs to put a stop to it. It's amazing how our teachers, parents, aswell as other adults tell the youth to express their thoughts and feelings to the world yet, some of the same people go against our ideas as soon as they get out.

As a parent of two young girls I think this sort of work is powerful and inspirational. Teenage girls being assaulted by their piers and prayed upon by adults is real!! Show the work as it was created!
