The city official confirmed that construction for the splash pad at Canyon Rim Park is officially moving forward. Thank you for your work on this and please keep an eye on the park board meeting notices so we can monitor the construction progress.
If you are interested in a splash pad on the East side of Canyon Rim Park, we would love your support. We are just a couple of moms who live in Canyon Rim who would love a place for our kids to cool of in the summer. Any questions, please email Emily Davis: [email protected].
We are meeting with the parks board this week to present these signatures as evidence of neighborhood demand. Post this link on your Facebook page to show them that families across the city are watching this decision. Text three neighbors to ask them to sign before the meeting starts.

The momentum behind this plan proves that our neighborhood is ready for a splash pad. Post the link to your neighborhood Facebook group now and send a quick email to your city council representative to keep this moving.

I think it would be great. I do think they will need to consider expanding the parking in the top lot, so that neighbors are not negatively impacted.

We would love a splash pad on the east bench of SLC, we are always traveling quite a distance to find the nearest splash pad!

Excellent idea! CRP definitely has the space and good central neighborhood location ideal for a splash pad. With Millcreek City taking over the Park's operations from the County, we should take this first to the City but then also to the County, since it looks like most of the west-side parks are County-run and they may have better experience building something like this.

We need one in our area!! Liberty Park, Hogle Zoo, Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, Midvale ...... PLEASE bring one to Millcreek!! Not lame like the Heritage Park. Have lots of seating for adults, grass for picnics and of course trees by the seating areas. That would help bring families to the area.
