We the undersigned demand the reinstatement of Zetland Park back to its former glory days. Zetland Park is part of Grangemouth heritage. People have fond memories of a park that played a massive part in their childhood .Portonians from near and far would like to see the park brought back up to a standard the full family enjoyed and has been taken from them. The Paddling pool that was at the centre of family gathering is now an eyesore that needs fixed or used in some other way. A family could be excluded from using other local parks like Callender Park on cost alone (4 X Bus Fare = a fortune). Falkirk Council needs to take action now and invest in the future of our childrens outdoor play and adult amenity. Reinstate Zetland Park Today

Updates

June 20, 2013

I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the Falkirk Council parks department to discuss concrete renovation plans for the paddling pool. Local media outlets are currently reviewing the documentation I provided regarding the decline of the site. I will publish their responses once I receive confirmation on next steps.

Zetland used to be the jewel of Grangemouth. Now it is just full of weeds and broken glass. Bring back our park!

Sort it out Falkirk. We pay our taxes and we expect a decent park for our families to use.

SHAME ON THE COUNCIL. My kids have nowhere to go in the holidays that doesnt cost a fortune in bus fares.

The paddling pool is a total eyesore. Either fix the leak or do something useful with it instead of just leaving it to rot.

Honestly can't believe how much they have let this place go. It was beautiful once upon a time.

Used to spend every summer day in that pool as a kid. It is a disgrace what it has turned into now. Fix it up for the young ones.
