This petition is to change and lower the current speed limit and introduce speed humps/speed cameras on Alma Road located in Enfield.
So far the current speed limit on Alma Road is 30mph but I have by far seen people driving down Alma Road at 60mph, which is unbelievably twice the speed limit. For us residents who live down this road find it scary, dangerous and most of all puts lives in danger.
On the 2nd July 2016 I lost my beautiful 3 year old husky due to speeding on this road. She was involved in a hit and run incident which left her in a critical state with severe injuries and only being given 1% chance of survival. At that time I was only given two option which was to either let her live on the strongest pain killers with pain and suffering or have her put down and it was the most heart breaking decision I had to make. However, I knew it wasn't right and I couldn't let her live with the pain and suffering she was in. Later on that evening I had to have her be put down and allow her to finally rest in peace.
Your help and signature can make a HUGE difference and a change for the better. What happened to my poor husky can happen to either an adult or a child tomorrow if we don't put a stop to it! We have already lost one life on Alma Road, we shouldn't have to put anymore lives at risk to make a difference.

Cars drive down Alma road much too fast they could kill a child. And in this case killed a dog. Please do something about it thanks
People constantly drive at alarming speeds on alma road and it is VERY dangerous
Something needs to be done about the speed down this road next time it could be a child or adult. RIP beautiful Cassie. Xx
Enfield council have shown no interest in the volume and speed of traffic or residence of Alma road , l would welcome a visit from any one of the councillors to pay me a visit to discuss and show them the problem ,
I live just round the corner and the way people treat Alma Road as a race track is discusting. Need speed humps before a person gets hit next.

This time was bad enough that a dog lost her life and was left on the road, it could be a child next time...
