This road is really dangerous. The speed of the traffic is ridiculous.

Speeding of cars driving down lane is often crazy. I have young children who are at risk when out enjoying the rural area they live in. Riding bikes or walking

We strongly support the petition and including Moss Lane in the speed limit makes sense.

It is essential for the safety of all residents, children, dog walkers and horse riders to impose a speed limit of max 40mph, but preferably 30mph to both Brereton Heath Lane and Moss Lane. The traffic on these roads has greatly increased and will only get busier, speeds must be restricted before any serious incidents occur.

As a regular walker on the lane I'm horrified at the speed some motorists reach on such a rural lane.

I support the petition for a 40mph speed limit on Brereton Heath Lane. A 40mph limit, or preferably a 30mph limit, should also be applied to Moss Lane, off Brereton Heath Lane. The lack of any restrictions and the ridiculous speeds of an increasing number of road users poses a particular danger to the children and older people in our area, and also people on horseback (a much loved feature of our hamlet).

Speed limit is essential, as:-
No pavements
Children walking to school in danger
Far too much speeding by traffic using the lane as a 'Rat Run'

It if absurd and dangerous that Brereton Heath lane is currently derestricted. Should be 40mph.

A reduction in speed limit on this narrow lane, much used by pedestrians and horse riders, is long overdue. Common sense at last prevailed on the A54 limit past the Brereton Heath Lane junction. Let's hope that extends to the Lane itself.

In my opinion 40mph is still too high and 30mph would be the appropriate limit.

The current speed limit is completely inappropriate for this location; there are numerous houses along the lane with driveways feeding directly into it. The many pedestrians, cyclists, and horse riders who use the lane are placed at risk by road users travelling too quickly for the conditions, even though they may be below the current speed limit. The limit should be reduced to a level in keeping with the conditions and the residential nature of a large part of the lane.

And while this petition is being considered, perhaps one could be put forward to reduce the speed limit from 60mph to 30mph along the A50 before the junction of Back lane and the Bears Head Inn junction. As far as past the road junction of the link road that leads to J17 of the M6, before someone gets killed trying to emerge onto the A50 against trafic travelling through at up to 60 mph.

Incredible that this residential road doesn't already have a speed restriction

as a daily walker i am buffetted by hi-speed vehicles who do not slow down especially milk tankers in the middle of the lane & the back wash pushes you out & then sucks you in there is a risk of a serious accident. all country lanes should be restricted to a 40 maximum
