40mph is more than adequate for this lane; excess speeds by many motorists are frequently putting others at risk. Concerns have been raised for some time - the council now need to listen and act accordingly.

As a local resident living on this lane I support this campaign 100% - cars travelling at excessive speed are now a frequent occurrence and have posed a significant risk to walkers, dogs, and horse riders with their horses for quite some time, increasingly so since new housing has been built in and around Congleton.

Brereton Heath Lane is residential for more than half of it's 1 mile length. It is used by walkers, cyclists, joggers, children, horse riders, wheelchair users, dog walkers, push chairs et al. All of whom have to use the road because there is no pavement, it is very dangerous and a complete anathema that the speed limit is currently 60mph, it should be reduced to 30mph

I think the speed limit should be 30 - 40 max

This lane should be zoned as 30mph for it to be safely used by pedestrians, horses and dog walkers.

This road should not be 60mph given the numbers of houses, pedestrians, bikes, horses regularly using this road

It is only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs from speeding traffic on Brereton Heath Lane . I frequently walk on the lane and have been passed too close and too fast many times. It is disgraceful that the Council has not acted before now to reduce the speed limit.

60mph is a ridiculous speed for this stretch of road that is used by the public walking dogs.

I feel unsafe walking my dog daily along this road. Drivers need encouragement to slow down.

Agree Brereton Heath Lane should be a 40mph speed limit. Regular use by horse riders, cyclists, pedestrians and children out playing. Also, single car width in places.

60mph is too fast for that road without no pavements
