The Hillgrove CPF as seen the need for speed bumps to be installed on Hillgrove drive as a matter of urgency due to the following reasons.
- There has been numerous accidents on this road, including the Telkom box accident.
- We have schools on and near the main road
- We have many religious organizations on Hillgrove Drive“ Churches, Mosques and Temples”
- This is the only road in and out of the area and any on that is committing a crime will be severely hampered by the installation of these speed bumps.

The momentum behind this request for speed bumps on Hillgrove Drive continues to grow. This progress confirms that our community prioritizes the safety of our students and religious congregants above all else.

I have attended several so call War room meetings with councillor with regards to speed bumps and the reply is always the same no funds.We have been promised 4 years ago the speed bumps be put in place on the entire Hill grove drive , only to empty promises.
Speed humps are urgent. I stay on the main road my FAMILY is at danger daily. We have witnessed many accidents involving school children. Please this is urgent
I am a scholar, we dread using this road going and coming from school due to the speeding taxis and scholar taxis. We need this to happen urgently
We at 386 Hargrove drive. We risk our lives everyday when trying to enter or leave our driveway. Mainly due to speeding vehicles and secondly as there is a blind rise in front of the mosque driveway. We get flashed by inconsiderate and speeding drivers on a daily basis, cos we cannot see traffic approaching behind the blind rise. Please do the speed bumps to avoid more accidents and injury including damage to property
357 Hillgrove Drive, yes please we need speed humps. I live near the Hillgrove Mosque which has classes for children of 4 years upwards. Safety is a major concern. Over the years there has been at least 3 accidents in front of my house. Most recent was a vehicle which went of the road down into the opposite adjacent neighbours yard and one which smashed into the Mosque gates due to a drunk driver clipping the vehicle as he veered into the oncoming lane going down the road. The innocent ladies car went out of control by being clipped causing her to smash into the gate of the mosque. Furthermore, some busses move at high speeds down the road which I have seen and it's like waiting for a dangerous crash to occur one day. Not forgetting some who fly past from the bottom of the road going up.
I'm 100% with the speed humps
