Call for Special Meeting regarding VDN HOA Management Company

I am against hiring an outside management company.

I am very concerned that such a major change is being pushed by the board without the input of the people the board is supposed to represent. A special meeting is appropriate and should be held.

Residents need a say

I would like the opportunity to hear more about the management company, specifically what types of things would be included in the package that the Board is considering. I would also like the opportunity to hear the questions of our neighbors.

I support a special meeting to hear more about what the management company can provide for us, how they work with the current board and the contract we would have with them. I also support the board getting bids from more than one management company.

We would like to see more than one management company presentation . This is a large commitment to give to the only company residents heard from. Involving residents would likely result in less backlash later when regret or issues with the company arise.

Knowledge is Power.

Many reasons I moved to VDN in June 2019...right at the top of my list was the reasonable and affordable HOA fees. So, this concerns me that a management company would come in and charge a lot more. We need to know before this happens!

I agree with Greg Shipper, since we moved here in 2004 annual dues have increased more than 50%. any action should be approved by all owners.

Just teeing up some questions... Are a percentage of HOA members required to approve engaging a HOA Mgmt company? Are there guaranteed benefits of engaging? What is the term and exit clause by either party? Hope to see everyone at the meeting.
