We are a strong believe in having a cantor. We do not think a synagogue can function well without a cantor.

I have no qualms with changing how CBS operates, but I do welcome a discussion with the rest of the congregation. I think this is an opportunity to hear everyon, to be sure that that the new model is the best fit for our shul.

We agree that this must be brought up at a congegational meeting. Having a cantor at CBS during all the services is what we would like, not just for holidays and special times. The warmth of the chanting by a cantor just adds to the whole experience.
