Speaking up for residents in Stockmoor & Wilstock - North Petherton

The roads need completing our car is getting damaged from high curbs onto our drive. The roads are congested by parks cars. The country park needs completing. We need better play areas for our children and walkways need to be safe to and from school - with the amount of building works going on at the moment walkways are not safe at all.

Support development of our community as promised - country park with paths to use the space year round and community hall to support people. Supported action to stop development but as it going ahead should be limited to fit well with the residential nature of this area and support the community development.

I think we are over populating the area without providing basic amenities! Roads are still unfinished in many areas causing damage to cars! Internet is an issue as there is not enough exchanges. Parking and congestion is a major issue! Let alone the mess and noise pollution! There is an apparent rush to cram as many people in as possible and then worry about the needs to the residents who have already invested in the area

Concentrate on the people living here already, we were promised a Bus route and country park to name a few. The are can't cope with yet more building. Summer's here are gridlocked with traffic. Proof that the infrastructure can't cope. The new 'improvements' will not make a jot of difference in peak times. The planners clearly don't live in or near this area otherwise they would have more common sense! !!!!

Absolutely no thought has gone into this proposed development. The area does not need a petrol station hotel or industrial units. This is not fitting with the local area of natural countryside and residential housing estates. The council also knows this area shouldn't be developed on unless entirely necessary! It would be the fourth petrol station within 400metres, it is not needed at all! It's a poorly thought out decision, it has no benefit to local residents who are already suffering due to roads works and the housing development in the area. The roads can't cope with current volume of traffic, everyone knows how bad it already is! The SDC should prioritise the provision of the country park, bus service, street lightning and roads before any more building in the area continues. It's gone on long enough, finish what you are obliged to provide and have a bit of sympathy for those already living here.... Ten years+ of building..... Jog on remove the pound coins from your eyes!

Please consider the impact on granting more houses near Wilstock and Stockmoor. I think the hotel and industrial sites would bring work, do we really need another petrol station when we have four within 1/2 mile.

This development wasn't anywhere in sight when we bought our house in 2008. Stockmoor was advertised as a VILLAGE on Bridgwater outskirts. It's a moot point whether we would have gone ahead with the purchase if we realised there was going to be an hotel, and industrial estate looming over us

Stop this application please. Infrastructure not able to cope now. Schools, Doctors. Roads. Telephones wifi all over subscribed by residents. Not needed. Gateway are just greedy, nasty company. Say NO.

It's time to deliver on the promises already made but not yet followed through, before building more!!

I was not made aware by Bloor's solicitors when buying my house in a wilstock last May that there would be this additional commercial development

We need some breathing space to re-group and look at the whole picture ahead. The developments are taking place too fast.

The current infrastructure is insufficient for the residents. There is a shortage of school places. No community facilities to run health clinics, toddler groups, youth groups, etc. All these need addressing before further commercial building. We certainly don't need a fourth petrol station within a half mile radius. If the hotel were to have attached leisure facilities, such as a gym and swimming pool, which local residents could use I would not be opposed to it.

Lack of infrastructure and sympathetic planning necessitates a rethink

Reasons for this excess congestion and less and less green space in our village.

Consult the residents please!

3 years ago we bought our house which was marketed to be surrounded by countryside. It is now rapidly developing around us and is not what we thought it would be.

A definite no to further development at Stockmoor and Wilstock until sensible analysis has taken place. The traffic problems south of Bridgwater are already too far gone.

I do not believe building extra housing in this area will benefit am already struggling town. Employment is slack and the lack of community investments is extremely low. North petherton does not need stockmoor village -wilstock to grow anymore than it has. The traffic is bad enough with us commuting to work( as not enough in bridgwater) this will increase of more housing is permitted.

It's just to much for the inferstructure
